If you’re one of those who like to save time in the morning by washing your hair before you hit the sack, then you’ll probably know the feeling of waking up with bad hair all too well. However, the good news is that this doesn’t always have to be the case. In fact, there are a few ways you can wake up with gorgeous hair, even after going to sleep with wet hair. Don’t worry – you can thank us later. Here they are!
Putting your hair up high in a bun while it’s wet, and then sleeping, will result in it looking much better in the morning than if you’d have left it loose. Sure, Scrunchies aren’t the most fashionable thing in the world these days, but they’re not too tight, and won’t do your hair any damage, or leave any annoying creases.
Believe it or not, something as simple as switching up your pillowcase material can really make a huge difference to your hair. Silk pillowcases are much easier on your hair than cotton ones, and won’t leave any dents in your hair if you go to bed with it wet. Plus, they are way more comfortable than cotton pillowcases.
If the whole “wavy” look tends to suit you, then it’s a great idea to French braid your hair before going to sleep, especially if you’ve just washed it. You’ll instantly eliminate a bad hair day the next day, and will instead be left with luscious and stylish waves.
Perhaps you haven’t used rollers in your hair for years, and tend to use curling tongs instead when it’s the hairstyle you want to go for. However, if you’re choosing to go to bed with wet hair, then it’s the perfect time to dig those rollers out again. Going to sleep with rollers in your hair will create extra volume the next day – but, if you prefer a more understated look, large rollers are your best bet.
So, there you have it – going to bed with wet hair doesn’t always have to mean you’re left with terrible hair the next morning. If you just switch things up in your routine a little, then you’ll see there are lots of ways in which you can go to bed with wet hair and still wake up with it looking luxurious.
